APULIAN LIVING LABS: SCIENTIFIC AND SOCIAL INNOVATION
Grand Hotel la Chiusa di Chietri
SS172, km29.800, Alberobello (BA)
"Living Labs" is the new approach to Apulian Regional Strategy for research and innovation in 2014 - 2020 framework, in which the network of researchers, companies and groups of citizens, as end users, is actively involved in developing and testing new solutions, in response to specific needs. Together, through the exchange of ideas and knowledge, they create an "open ecosystem" in which users take part in designing of new products and services, through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
To the date, 79 Living labs are active in Apulia and their solutions achieve the results of the most innovative ICT researches. Some of these projects present themselves in a dedicated workshop in INISTA 2014 seminar to submit their innovations to the evaluation of the scientific community. The best of them will be award by Apulia Region and InnovaPuglia at discretion of some IEEE members.
